'When it comes to praising Lord Shiva, there are a bunch of songs.The \"Mahaprana Deepam\" song from the movie \"Sri Manjunatha\" is my favourite which resonated with me by its melody, devotion and composition. A big tribute to the makers of this song: Lyrics : Sri Veda Vyasa Music : Hamsalekha Sir Singer : Shankar Mahadevan Sir Actor in the song : Arjun Sarja Sir My experience while recording: As I had memorized the lyrics for its beauty and intricate, rhyming composition, I chose to sing out of memory. It’s in my nature to close my eyes while chanting/singing anything from memory but this turned out to be an exception as I got a good flow with open eyes(Hopefully!!),although it was a strange feeling to look at myself on the recording pane . I just sang with my natural pace, but luckily it overlapped with the duration and rhythm of the original song .That also made it possible to mix the background music post recording which synced well, thus spawning 2 versions for this rendition 1.
